I had so much fun last night! Flitter and I were dorks and got glow bracelets in blue and orange and then swished our hands around.
AND WE WON THE COSTUME CONTEST HOLY CRAP WHAT
There was this really incredible Game of Thrones group (with whom we got pictures, to be posted soon) who were in the top three with us, I honestly didn’t think a sweaty prince and a five-hour ice queen had a chance.
Once again, it was so nice to meet some of you guys (looking at you, Sam <3).
Now brb sleeping for a day and a half.

If you were a rich orphan who never had to worry about money (much like the Count of Monte Cristo) how would you spend your time?
Hopefully this could happen WITHOUT the traumatic years of imprisonment (yay CoMC!), but I’d probably move to New York and pursue a career in acting. Also donate lots of money to arts and education programs for kids, as well as Planned Parenthood. Oh, and I’d buy the house where they filmed exterior shots for the Addams Family TV show.
If you could have written any book, which book would you like to have written?
The Shadow of the Wind.
What is your favorite time period and why?
1910-1920. Aesthetics and fashion struck the perfect balance between Victorian romanticism and the free spirit of the 1920s without things like intense pastels and massive, puffy sleeves on the Victorian end and chest-binding and Art Deco on the 1920s end. Morals were also beginning to change; women got the vote in America and Britain and generally started to gain more freedom. The whole “two women can be romantically involved and it’ll always get written off as intense friendship, even if they kiss” thing was still common, which is a plus. On the downside, World War I happened in the middle of this era (and the influenza epidemic of 1918), but it’s still probably my favorite.
Say you were reincarnated. Tell me about your previous or next incarnation.
I will be the exact same person, but British. And someday, I will play the Doctor. xD
What person do you respect but not like, and why?
Ke$ha. Surprising, but true. I respect her because I’ve heard her acoustic songs with no autotune and she can actually sing; apparently the record label pressured her into doing what she does and she considers herself a parody artist. She also seems to be pretty intelligent. But I still can’t like her, because the fact remains that she does release shallow, vapid songs about partying and (regardless of whether she was made to do it) that lowers my estimation of her.
If your significant other were complimenting you, what quality would you like them to compliment first?
I don’t really know. Something about my personality, probably, because everything else can change. But if they like my mind, they’re more likely to stay around in the long-term.
What fictional character do you most identify with and why?
Oh gad. I hate this question, because the answer is going to make people roll their eyes, but I’ll go with what I wrote on a joke survey once- Wednesday Addams on Ritalin. We both have little faith in authority, interest in learning/extreme curiosity, very black humor, dark aesthetic preferences, a huge mischievous streak, and deep loyalty to loved ones. On the negative side, we both have a quick temper, hidden insecurities, and the tendency to make judgements about others based on appearance (albeit looking down on cheerleader types rather than people with too many tattoos). And I have a huge, weird family- Charles Addams is actually my distant cousin.
The Ritalin part is where I talk in Internet memes and spend an hour making cat noises at my roommate. :D
So there you have it. My corny and cliched but honest answer.
What is your strongest belief?
That’s a hard one. If you mean with regard to convictions, probably my belief that the right thing will always win out in a given situation (eg. marriage equality will eventually be universal).
If you mean a spiritual belief, probably my belief in magic and the supernatural. It’s managed to hold up for 19 years so far, despite the many ways it could have been destroyed. So I’m a complete nutcase in the eyes of a good chunk of society, and that’s not changing anytime soon. xD
If you had the ability to invent anything, ignoring reality and the laws of nature, what would you invent?
What is your favorite activity?
Do I have to choose? It’s a solid tie between acting and writing.
What is one thing that makes you uncomfortable that doesn’t seem to bother many other people?
When my family comments on my appearance in any way, including compliments. If, for example, I started wearing makeup on a day-to-day basis and my mother casually told me she thought it looked nice, I would get uncomfortable and embarrassed. If she did it more than once (which she probably would), I’d ask her to let it go, and then she’d feel hurt, and a minor argument would ensue.
It doesn’t apply to friends, just family. Completely irrational, I know, but I’ve been that way for as long as I can remember. —”
Where would you like to be in life in ten years?
What fictional character do you most identify with and why? (Yes, I’m keeping that one.)
If you had to choose between having a successful career but dying alone and having a rich romantic/social life but spending the rest of your life in a dead-end job, which would you choose?
What superpower would you choose to have?
Would you sleep with your favorite celebrity if given the chance?
If you were Voldemort, what would you do differently to ensure successful domination of the wizarding world?
Speaking thus, if you yourself became ruler of the world, what would be your first act as Supreme Overlord?
If you could have one wish right now, what would you wish for?
What is one thing about you that most people don’t know?
The Doctor decrees that you can play any role in any play or musical ever. What role do you pick?
What, in your opinion, is the meaning of life?
